President's Message

On behalf of the Board members, I wish to welcome back all of our members to another exciting year for the IMA Switzerland chapter! During the last few years we have been extremely successful in designing and implementing the strategy that has brought to where we are today: a growth of IMA Switzerland members from 55 members during our chapter's inception in 2009 to 150 members at the close of our current fiscal year of June 30, 2012.

The focus for this year and the coming years will be on executing our goals and objectives while continuing to refine and adapt our strategies to the changing economic and business environment.

"Empower finance professionals in Switzerland to improve their management accounting skills through the certified management accountant (CMA) designation and maintain their financial competence through continuous professional education.

Support chapter members in seeking professional excellence, upholding the highest ethics standards, and networking with fellow members."

We will also look at ways to get better connected with you, get your input and feedback to ultimately serve our chapter members at the highest professional standards. Hearing directly from you is the easiest and most efficient way for this to happen. For this purpose you can always reach out to us and tell us what you think, but we will also be running a survey to receive more extensive and organized input.

Ultimately, all of the work that goes into making this chapter a success begins and ends with membership support and engagement. Volunteering for a committee position can be a very enriching and valuable experience. There are numerous ways that members can volunteer, so please feel free to reach out and let us know what you are interested in.

Finally, I would like to thank the board members, committed volunteers and the IMA organization for the continued support and engagement. I look forward to another successful year.
